Updating Our Pool & Recreation Area Rules

Dear Residents,

Our current pool and recreation rules were written over 30 years ago. Since then, laws and community standards in B.C. have changed. The Strata Council is now reviewing these rules to make sure they are fair, safe, and up to date with the B.C. Human Rights Code and Strata Property Act.

We want everyone — families, youth, seniors, and people with disabilities — to enjoy our shared spaces comfortably. Here are the main changes we’re considering:

  • Children’s access: Kids 3 years and older can use the pool during family hours (9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.) with adult supervision.

  • Teen access: Youth 16–18 years old may use the pool and recreation area without parent supervision, as long as they follow the posted safety rules.

  • Adult-only swim times: To support our seniors and residents with disabilities, certain hours each week will be set aside for quiet swim times (ages 55+) — no children allowed during these sessions.

  • Updated safety and courtesy rules to keep the pool safe and welcoming for everyone.

We want to hear from you before finalizing any changes.
